So this is the current state of the Railway room.
Ceiling has been washed down and doesn't need painting.
Next job is paint the walls, then paint the woodwork.
Once that is done a new carpet will be laid and its ready!
A Blog to record the development of my first Model Railway for many many years.

The kids have left home, I am now working three days a week so now is the perfect time to get back to Railway Modelling.
From a very young age I have always been interested in railways and railway modeling.
I have built a few layouts in the past but never got to finish any of them.
The last one was a Small 'N' gauge layout which did get to the point of being operational but I never added any scenery.
I am hoping that now I have more time I will actually be able to finish a layout.
I am lucky to have a small (9'×6') bedroom which is going to be the railway room and I am currently decorating it to make it suitable for the railway.
I have also started collecting Modelling equipment and models to get things going.
This Blog will record my progress as I go along, so thanks for reading and please pop back on a regular basis to see how it is going.
Martin.
